The Library of the Museum is open for the collaborators of the Museum and external researchers.

The library has a relatively rich collectioin of 15.000 books of the related fields of Albanology, literature, foreign and Albanian authors.

The oldest books belong to the 17th century, where we could find the “Dottrina Christiana” of P. Budi (1618), the “Istoria di Giorgio Castrioto detto Scander – Begh” of G. Biemm (1742) etc.

A special place is reserved to the collection of books, magazines and periodic newspapers of the end of the 19th century.

The “Pipa” family donated to the Historical Museum of Shkodra, a fund of 2000 volumes, increasing thus the values of the Library. Of a great importance are the rare collections of “Albania” of F. Konica “Shejzat” of E. Koliqi.
